What's New at the Hertie School
Edition 3 · Academic Year 2016/2017
May 2017

Dear Friends of the Hertie School,

Fostering democratic resilience in the face of current threats is the theme of The Governance Report 2017, to be launched on 8 May at the Hertie School in Berlin. We hope to have many of you join us.

I am also delighted to announce that Michael Ignatieff, President and Rector of the Central European University in Budapest, recently on the front lines of such challenges, will share his insights with the Class of 2017 as our graduation speaker on 2 June.

Last weekend, we welcomed over 150 former Hertie School students from around the world for the Alumni Reunion, a successful and engaging weekend of debate and reconnecting. We are very proud of our thriving and growing global community.

Best regards,
Helmut K. Anheier
