What's New at the Hertie School
Edition 7 · Academic Year 2017/2018
May/June 2018

Dear Friends of the Hertie School,

On Friday, 8 June we celebrate the success of another group of MPP, MIA and PhD graduates in the Konzerthaus on Gendarmenmarkt. Friends and family have travelled from around the globe for what promises to be a wonderful afternoon. If you cannot be with us in Berlin, I invite you to tune in via the live stream on our homepage from 3 pm onwards.

I look forward to welcoming my esteemed colleagues Mary Kaldor (LSE), Randall Hansen (University of Toronto), Renaud Dehousse (European University Institute) and Ira Katznelson (Columbia University) on 12 June for a discussion of the mission, role, and impact of public policy schools. We hope to have many of you join us for this symposium.

The Chairman of the Hertie School's Supervisory Board, Bernd Knobloch, has been appointed as speaker of the Christian Democratic Union's new Jewish Forum. We wish him all the best for this important task.
